Experience for Justice

[Related: Matt's Meet Matt and Judicial Philosophy.]

Matt Wilson‘s 35 years of practice at all levels of the Georgia court system have earned him the respect of his peers and given him an intimate understanding of the needs and challenges confronting our courts and judges. As a candidate for the highest court in Georgia, Matt brings a fresh and independent perspective and intimate understanding of where our judicial system succeeds and where it fails.

“Trial and litigation are where the rubber hits the road, where the theory of law and procedure becomes concrete reality. I believe my 35 years in the trenches of Georgia’s court system, diligently and ethically representing my clients’ interests, uniquely qualifies me to now represent the interests of Georgians in ensuring a fair, efficient and expeditious system of justice, enforced in conformity with our oldest and most cherished constitutional principles.”

A Broadly Experienced Trial Lawyer.

Matt Wilson has represented individuals, small businesses, churches and schools at all levels in the Georgia court system, from the City, Traffic, Magistrate and Juvenile Courts, to conducting many jury trials representing both plaintiffs and defendants in the State and Superior courts, to raising important appellate issues before the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Georgia Supreme Court. Matt has also tried cases in the United States District and the federal Bankruptcy Courts.

“I have professional experience in all of Georgia’s Courts and in our federal court system, so I understand the problems, issues and needs of the judiciary, which contributes to my qualifications for the most important Court in Georgia.”

A History Free from Bias.

Matt Wilson has represented both plaintiffs and defendants, the insured and the accused, individuals and organizations, small businesses and large corporations, so he understands the importance of delivering “equal protection” to all who come seeking justice.

A Pro-rights Record.

Matt Wilson has demonstrated in his daily life and work and his public record that he supports and defends the civil rights, constitutional rights and freedoms of all Americans. He has consistently supported various causes seeking to defend and uphold individual rights and liberties.

“There is much truth, wisdom and need for justice on all sides of the American political spectrum, on both the right and the left and in the middle. Americans all need to shout less and listen more. Georgia needs a Supreme Court Justice who will listen to them. I pledge to listen.”
